PS IMAGO Pack PRO
Process

Constant access to up-to-date information facilitates decision-making and accelerates actions and reactions to change to increase a company’s competitive advantage. Uninterrupted access to up-to-date information is key to the efficient operation of any business. It’s not just about reproducible reports. In ad hoc reporting, it is common for published documents to differ only in terms of the data presented.

Until today, updating a report meant creating and exporting result objects in IBM SPSS Statistics from scratch. Now the new feature can fully automate the process of updating and publishing ad hoc and periodic (e.g. quarterly) reports.

Task scheduling interface

Scheduling of repetitive tasks is done through a simple interface – PS IMAGO Process. This allows the user to define many tasks simultaneously, with the ability to specify the exact date and time when an update should occur. Scheduling options include:

  • Ad-hoc or one-time,
  • hours, days of the week, months,
  • deferred start and end dates.

Definition of the scope of updating

PS IMAGO Process allows the user to define the tasks that need to be updated; they can cover the whole process of report creation (from data import to report publication); a part of it only, e.g. downloading new data and updating result objects. To increase flexibility, the following elements can be defined independently:

  • SPSS commands (.sps command syntax),
  • source output objects in .spv format,
  • report model containing result items,
  • finished report,
  • exporting results to common formats such as PDF, HTML, etc.
  • Publishing reports over the Internet

Monitoring the status of tasks

Thanks to the multi-level nature of task updating in PS IMAGO Process, the user can determine the exact status of specific tasks. Current information about the processing status is displayed next to each task, allowing easy monitoring of even the most complex analysis reporting processes.
